All products are manufactured and curated by Otolaryngological Anthropology Incorporated (OAI) within our U.S. warehouse. Every production material we use is carefully vetted to ensure it comes from FDA- and CE-approved facilities that follow strict good manufacturing practices (GMP). Our mission is to provide simple, effective, and doctor-led solutions for ear and airway health.

We strongly recommend that you:
Discuss all potential product use with your healthcare provider, especially if you have underlying medical conditions such as chronic ear infections, ear tubes, nasal bleeding, sleep apnea, or other airway/breathing disorders.
Seek guidance from a licensed provider if you experience irritation, discomfort, or worsening symptoms while using our products.
Your medical provider is the best resource to help you determine whether our products are appropriate for your individual health needs.
Coverage varies depending on your plan. Some customers have successfully used HSA/FSA benefits for Roncaid chin lift tape and Auil ear drops when recommended for medical use.
You will generally need to follow these steps:
1. Request a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN):
Ask your healthcare provider (such as a primary care physician, ENT, or sleep specialist) to write a short letter stating that the product (e.g., chin lift tape for nighttime breathing or ear drops for dry ear/earwax issues) is recommended for your care.
Many providers have standard templates they can fill out quickly.
2. Purchase the product:
Keep your receipt from OtoAnthro.com. The receipt will show the product name and price.
3. Submit for reimbursement:
Send your receipt along with your provider’s letter of medical necessity to your HSA/FSA administrator (the company that manages your account).
Each plan has its own process — usually an online portal where you can upload the documents, or sometimes mailing/faxing them.
4. Receive reimbursement:
Once approved, the cost of the product will be reimbursed from your HSA/FSA balance directly to you.
Some cards may process successfully if your HSA/FSA plan recognizes the merchant category. However, many require manual reimbursement (purchase first, then submit your receipt and LMN).
No. Only your licensed healthcare provider can issue this letter. We recommend contacting your provider before purchase if you want to ensure eligibility.

Mineral oil is considered combustible, but not highly flammable. This means it will not easily ignite at room temperature, but like many oils, it can burn if exposed to high heat or an open flame.
The flash point (the temperature where vapors can ignite) for mineral oil is typically >160 °C (320 °F), which is well above normal household conditions.
Always store mineral oil away from open flames, candles, stoves, or high-heat sources.
Roncaid chin lift tape gently supports the suprahyoid musculature during sleep, helping reduce mouth breathing. It promotes nasal breathing for a more restful night’s sleep.
Yes. Our tape is made from medical-grade kinesiology fabric that is latex-free, breathable, and designed for skin contact. The adhesive and materials are sourced from FDA/CE-approved suppliers, and all finished products are curated in our U.S. warehouse to ensure consistency and safety.
If you have diagnosed sleep apnea or other medical breathing conditions, consult your healthcare provider before use. This product is not a substitute for CPAP or medical treatment.
Most people tolerate it well. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult your provider. Always apply to clean, dry skin without lotions or oils.
Roncaid is not recommended for use over beards or heavy facial hair. The tape relies on direct skin contact for proper adhesion, and hair can prevent the tape from staying in place overnight.
Adhesion will be significantly reduced, meaning the tape may not hold properly. In addition, removal can be uncomfortable and may cause skin irritation when pulling against hair.
For best results, Roncaid should be applied to clean, dry skin. If you have a beard but want to try the tape, we recommend trimming or shaving the area under the chin where the strip is applied. Good news, OAI is developing a re-usable, beard-friendly alternative. Please check back regularly for updates on our website.
Yes. Using Roncaid on a beard may shorten wear time, reduce support, and increase the risk of irritation.
Auil Balls are soft cotton balls coated in petroleum jelly, designed to provide relief from dry, itchy, or irritated ears. They help seal in moisture and protect against further irritation.
Place a lightly coated Auil Ball at the entrance of the ear canal to help trap moisture and soothe dryness. Do not push it deep into the ear canal. Remove and replace with a fresh one as needed.
Yes. They are intended for occasional or daily use to relieve dryness. Always consult with your healthcare provider, and stop use if irritation occurs.
No. In these cases, consult your ENT or healthcare provider before use. Auil Balls are designed for general dryness and irritation relief, not for use in medically compromised ears.
Auil Balls are not designed for earwax removal. They are specifically intended to reduce dryness and irritation. For wax buildup, consult your healthcare provider.
White petroleum jelly (petrolatum) can burn if exposed to flame or very high heat.
Its flash point is typically >182 °C (360 °F), which is well above normal household conditions.
At room temperature, it is stable and safe to use for skin or nasal dryness.
Like any oil-based product, it should not be used near open flames, smoking materials, or very hot surfaces.
Rhinment is a topical ointment made with white petroleum jelly, formulated to relieve dryness and irritation around the outside of the nose.
No. Rhinment is not recommended for placement deep inside the nasal cavities. Apply only to the external skin around the nose or just inside the nasal entrance if directed by your healthcare provider.
